What the role is
The Wildlife Management Division in Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS) Cluster manages wildlife in Singapore and engages the community on human-wildlife encounters in our City in Nature.
What you will be working on
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Wildlife Management and Outreach team. The role focuses on managing otter-related encounters through various responsibilities, including field surveys, population management, conflict resolution, and feedback handling.
You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders and wildlife management contractors to ensure smooth project implementation. The position also involves data management and analysis, contributing to broader wildlife initiatives and participating in public outreach and educational programmes.
What we are looking for
Area of studies in Biological or Environmental Science or related discipline
Advantageous to have relevant working experience with wildlife, wildlife-related operations and public engagements
Demonstrate punctuality and adherence to operational schedules
An organized, creative, and resourceful team player who is able to work independently with good interpersonal skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Able to multi-task in performing a diverse range of duties
Enjoy working in an outdoor field environment
Willing to work on weekends and after office hours
