What the role is

Do you love Singapore for punching above its weight as a Little Red Dot? Can you identify with the grit exhibited by our founding leaders and generation as they worked hard to build Singapore to what it is today? If the answer is "yes", join us at the Founders' Memorial (FM)!

At the FM, we are creating a brand-new garden-museum experience for Singaporeans, by Singaporeans. A national landmark at the heart of our garden city, uncovering the story of how independent Singapore came to be, and bringing Singaporeans across generations together to reflect and have bold conversations about what our founding values mean today and for our future.

The FM is seeking a suitable candidate to lead a passionate Partnerships and Programmes team. You will inspire like-minded partners across the public, private and people sectors and forge strategic partnerships that will enable FM to fulfil its mandate as well as deepen, expand and sustain its impact. You will drive and implement strategies to reach new audiences and create meaningful opportunities for citizens and stakeholders to participate in and contribute to FM’s vision. Look forward to being a part of creating a living Memorial that unites, challenges and inspires Singaporeans of all generations towards a brighter future.

What you will be working on

  • Strategic Partnership Development: Identify, scope, and structure partnership opportunities that advance FM’s mission and strategic priorities and see through their implementation. This includes leading negotiations, developing partnership frameworks and agreements (such as MOUs and co-funding arrangements), and tracking the budget management, outcomes and impact of collaborations.

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management: Lead the development and stewardship of strategic relationships with key partners, including funders, across government agencies, corporates and civil society.

Across different communities, focusing on (but not limited to) fostering inter-generational, foreign-local, and inter-ethnic interactions within the museum/garden setting, both in the day and after-hours FM night experience.

  • Volunteer Engagement: Oversee the Memorial’s Volunteer Engagement and to grow and sustain FM’s pool of volunteers from diverse communities who will be a key presence in FM’s visitor experience to welcome, host and co-deliver tours and programmes for the public. This includes identifying and developing volunteer leaders and working with them to co-engage the volunteers.

  • Donor Management and Business Development: Manage and support donor relations and privileges to cultivate giving of time, talent, treasures and ties, while identifying suitable partners who can provide in-kind support for FM's programmes. Develop business opportunities and strategies with FM’s assets and through venue rental and retail for revenue generation towards sustainability of FM.

  • Visitor Services: In the lead-up to the launch of FM, to oversee the implementation of the FM Service Blueprint that guides and supports the delivery of a desired visitor experience and maps out the key service touchpoints and actions in the end-to-end visitor journey (including digital). This includes putting in place systems and processes such as service standards needed to deliver these actions and working closing with internal teams and external partners.
