What you will be working on
- Perform data cleaning, quality control, and conflation of geospatial datasets
- Customise GIS data in support of Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) operations and training requirements
- Generate geospatial products using GIS software tools to meet the needs of SAF operations and training
- Provide technical support and expert advice in the areas of mapping and GIS services
Challenge(s)
- Developing and maintaining a strong working knowledge of geospatial and GIS software applications to meet evolving operational demands
- Managing high volumes of geospatial data to ensure it is thoroughly cleaned, checked, conflated, and prepared for production within tight timelines
What we are looking for
- Education in a relevant discipline, preferably in Geospatial Sciences, Applied Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Civil Engineering, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or Geography
- At least 5 years of experience in geospatial data production, with demonstrated ability to use common geospatial software competently in day-to-day work
- Proficiency in GIS software tools and applications
- Calm and composed disposition with the ability to manage high workloads, particularly during the conduct of extended and intensive operations
