What the role is

You are responsible for systematic manpower data trending, modelling, and projection to inform the Republic of Singapore Navy's (RSN) manpower strategies and support policy development for Regulars, NSFs, and NSmen. You will also assess qualitative data to provide a holistic analysis of the manpower landscape, and prepare manpower projections and studies for recruitment, retention, and training establishments to optimise resource allocation across the RSN.

What you will be working on

- Monitor and analyse internal and external HR trends affecting the RSN to support manpower plans and policy development for Regulars, NSFs, and NSmen - Prepare manpower projections and studies for recruitment, retention, and training to optimise resource allocation - Assess qualitative data to provide a holistic view of the manpower landscape - Work with key stakeholders on manpower-related matters to ensure the future workforce structure is manpower supportable Challenge(s) - Explaining complex data and technical issues in a way that is easy to understand for senior commanders and Naval Staff, especially those unfamiliar with HR reporting and terminologies - Managing broad and deep thinking across multiple stakeholder domains at a fast pace, while handling high workload and work tempo - Keeping updated with the latest HR trends and data science tools to ensure the RSN's manpower planning capabilities remain current and effective

What we are looking for

- Education in Data Analytics, Operational Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field - At least 6 years of working experience in HR or analysis-related fields - Proficiency in data analytics and visualisation tools such as Excel, Power BI, and QlikSense - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Good interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills to work effectively across branches and with the wider SAF Manpower Plans Community - Ability to multi-task and manage high workload and work tempo effectively Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
