Product Senior Engineer/Engineer (Investigation Product and Platform)

As a product engineer in the Investigation Product and Platform team, you will be instrumental in driving the development and delivery of innovative digital solutions that enhance national security operations. Working within an agile, cross-functional team, you will collaborate with product managers, UX designers, software engineers, and mission stakeholders to understand user challenges and operational requirements. Your role involves translating these insights into scalable, secure, and user-friendly applications that modernize investigative workflows, integrate advanced technologies for information analysis and dissemination, and enable faster, more accurate decision-making. You will directly contribute to mission success in a dynamic environment that values innovation, collaboration, and real-world impact.

• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of user challenges and operational requirements, and leverage these insights to design and develop intuitive, user-friendly solutions that drive effective outcomes. • Design, develop, and deploy scalable web applications using industry-standard full-stack technologies and frameworks (such as React, Spring Boot, and Kubernetes) to improve operational efficiency and optimize user workflows. • Design, develop, and deploy scalable data processing systems using industry-standard technologies and frameworks to ingest, transform and enrich datasets with high performance and reliability. • Design and implement APIs to facilitate seamless communication between frontend applications and backend microservices, databases, and in-house systems. • Leverage and integrate frontier AI models into web applications and data systems, building robust pipelines to optimize complex user workflows and drive productivity. • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for production software systems, ensuring reliability, resolving issues promptly, and implementing updates to optimize performance and stability. • Opportunity to explore and leverage cutting-edge AI tools across the software development lifecycle to enhance coding efficiency, automate testing, improve debugging, and accelerate delivery.

• Background in computer science, software engineering, information technology or related fields. • At least 3 years of experience in software engineering for Senior Engineer • Proficient in Java, Python and Javascript/Typescript. • Proficient in at least one of the following frameworks: React, Spring Boot. Nice-to-haves: Familiar with database concepts, queries and optimisation techniques. Familiar with DevOps and SRE concepts. Good understanding of Linux/Unix environment. Experience in working on Cloud environment eg. Google, AWS, Azure. As CSIT is an agency under the Ministry of Defence (Singapore), only Singapore Citizens will be considered.
