What the role is

We are seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking (Assistant) Manager to join our Resilience and Cybersecurity Planning Division. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in establishing Singapore as the global paragon of pragmatic innovation for resilience and cybersecurity of Digital Infrastructure.

The Resource and Competency Support (RCS) team provides oversight to the group’s programs, develops and operates capability development programs to elevate the cybersecurity capabilities of IMDA and sectorial operators. The work will include engaging and collaborating with various IMDA divisions, other government agencies for funding initiatives and industry players to formulate programs to uplift the capabilities of our sectorial operators. This would require the officer to identify opportunities and incubate ideas. We would like to invite an independent and self-motivated individual with keen interest in contributing to the growth of Singapore’s digital economy.

What you will be working on

  • Assist in cross-division reviews/analysis of greenfield opportunities and ideas for new technologies affecting cybersecurity in the telecoms sector.
  • Lead internal divisions and relevant government/public agencies on matters relating to funding of programs, technology trends and developments including carrying out strategic reviews and assessments of funding to develop mid to long-term goals and strategic objectives for IMDA’s cyber capabilities.
  • Formulate mid to long-term goals and strategic objectives for IMDA’s and sectorial cyber capabilities and facilitate the planning process to translate strategies into actionable workplans.
  • Develop technical think pieces and research publications in the telecoms and broadcast domains.
  • Develop and refine IMDA's cyber capability development frameworks, ensuring alignment with sectorial needs, emerging technologies, and long-term resilience objectives whilst facilitating cross-agency coordination.

What we are looking for

  • Background in Cybersecurity, Telecoms Infrastructure, Information Technology or related disciplines.
  • Experience in cybersecurity, telecoms infrastructure, and strategic funding management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to sense-make complex trends and derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in building and maintaining partnerships across government and industry sectors.
  • Independent and self-motivated individual with strong project management skills and ability to work in an agile environment.
  • In-depth understanding of global technology trends, geopolitics, and cyber threats.
